What's Happening at DBS

Doha British School (DBS) hosted Mr Ghanim Al-Sulati on Sunday 29th October for a sustainability workshop. During this workshop Mr Ghanim explained how he was able to successfully launch his unique businesses here in Qatar. There was a lacking vegan market in a world that was becoming more consciously aware of being more sustainable. Since 2015 he has been incredibly successful launching over 8 businesses within his Holdings company. These include Evergreen Organics and Mylk both found at Gate Mall.

What was special about this workshop was seeing the enthusiasm of the students as they became more understanding of the benefits of a vegan lifestyle on the environment. Students were very curious and asked lots of questions. We were all left feeling inspired and even if we do not take up veganism fully, I think students and staff are now more open to trying recipes and researching into this more.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Ghanim and his team for taking the time to come visit us here at DBS. We are looking forward to some more potential future opportunities.
