Students from Year 7, 8 and 9 were selected to go on a trip to One Book, One Doha book festival held in Katara Cultural Village. This engaging event allowed our students to dive into a story`s key themes through a variety of hands-on activities. 📖

This year’s selected book was Men in the Sun by Ghassan Kanafani. The book is a powerful narrative that delves into themes of struggle, survival, and displacement.

The DBS community came together for an unforgettable “Movie Under the Stars” evening, organised by Friends of DBS. Families and friends enjoyed the delightful breeze as they cosied up under the night sky to watch Inside Out 2. During Breast Cancer Awareness Week, DBS students and teachers came together in a splash of pink to show their support. Greek Day was a fantastic success! The children arrived in a variety of Ancient Greek-inspired outfits, reflecting their creativity. They immersed themselves in a range of activities, including making head wreaths and Olympic torches, learning the Greek alphabet, and crafting mosaics. The day ended with a delicious Greek feast! A big thank you to all the families whose contributions helped make this celebration so memorable.

For Sustainability Week, our students took action to help the planet! 🌱🌍

Throughout the week, they learned how small actions can make a big impact and created posters showing ways to protect the environment. We also hosted a fun “Make Something Out of Nothing” competition, where students turned waste into creative masterpieces! And of course, we enjoyed delicious, sustainability-themed baked treats. Together, we’re working toward a greener future!

Last night, our U19 girls` volleyball team excelled at the first nationwide competition.

As defending champions, expectations were high—and they certainly delivered! After defeating every opponent, they triumphed in the final with a 25-5 result!
