Trips and Visits
Trips and Visits
At Doha British School Rawdat Al Hamama, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our Trips and Visits Programme forms an integral part of the DBS experience, offering students the chance to explore, discover, and apply their learning in real-world settings.
Being located in the capital allows us to make excellent use of the rich cultural, historical, and educational opportunities that Doha provides. Educational excursions are organised regularly throughout the school year, complementing classroom learning and deepening students’ understanding of subjects such as history, science, geography, and the arts. Whether it’s visiting museums, cultural exhibitions, or environmental sites, each trip is designed to inspire curiosity, reflection, and connection to the wider world.
International Trips
Beyond Qatar, DBS students also have the opportunity to take part in international trips that broaden their horizons and strengthen their independence. These longer, often overnight experiences promote personal growth, resilience, teamwork, and intercultural understanding.
Each trip is carefully planned to connect with the curriculum — for example, geography fieldwork, language and cultural immersion programmes, or international competitions and conferences. Students not only enhance their academic learning but also develop essential life skills such as adaptability, leadership, and empathy.
International travel offers a unique opportunity for students to experience new cultures, build lasting friendships, and develop a genuine sense of global citizenship — values that sit at the heart of the DBS Way.
