Head of Sixth Form Welcome
Welcome to the Sixth form admissions area of DBS Rawdat Al Hamama. Here, our highly experienced subject specialists bring expertise from both the UK and international sectors, ensuring a world-class education as part of the DBS school cluster. Working closely with colleagues across the DBS group, we are committed to sharing excellence in all aspects of learning.
In June 2024, we proudly entered our first Year 11 cohort for IGCSE exams, achieving outstanding results, with many students honoured with High Achiever awards. Building on this success, we opened our VIth form in September 2025, offering a rigorous portfolio of International AS levels. These qualifications hold an excellent reputation worldwide, valued for university entry and career opportunities alike.

SIXTH FORM UNIVERSITY GUIDANCE
All Sixth Form students are offered university and career guidance during their course. They receive information on how to apply to a variety of international universities, and will have the opportunity to meet university representatives both in school and at different fairs around Doha.
Many universities require AS students to complete a foundation year of study before beginning an undergraduate degree, and since admission deadlines fall between January and March, a lot of time is spent in Term 1 preparing students for the application process.

International AS Levels are modular programmes with exams held in January and May/June, allowing students to retake or improve specific modules.
AS-Level programmes (UK) are linear, meaning all assessments take place only in May/June, with no modular resits during the year.
All subjects offered at AS level in Year 12 are also available at AL level in Year 13.
Please note that all subjects will be offered based on demand, if an insufficient number of students pick a subject, the subject will not run.
Entry Requirements
Students are expected to achieve a minimum of five Grade 5’s or above in their I/GCSE subjects. Certain courses have additional entry requirements, typically requiring a Grade 6 or higher in specific subjects.
