Do all students/children have to be in the new uniform at the start of the new academic year 2023/24?
No. Only students who are joining DBS as new students are required to purchase the new uniform for August 2023/24 or if parents are replacing the existing uniform. Year 7 students will be expected to wear the new secondary uniform as they move up to the secondary school and Year 12 students will be expected to wear the new sixth form uniform from August 2023.
Please note: If you have a child moving into Year 7 and wish to recycle the current school uniform, this would be permitted up until the start of the Academic Year 2024/25. You are not required to purchase the new uniform for 2023/24.
When do all students/children need to be in the new uniform?
There is a two (2) year roll out period to allow students to get maximum use of their current school uniform. All students will be expected to be in the new school uniform by August 2024/25. Year 13 students may continue to wear business attire for the Academic Year 2023/24.
NOT to be worn inside the school:
- Hoodies, sweat tops and jumpers are not classed as coats in the DBS School Uniform Policy.
- Trainers are not part of the DBS School Uniform Policy.
- Rules surrounding jewellery and extreme hairstyles will remain the same.
