Virtual School: Continuity of Learning

Continuity of Learning:

We will try to ensure that all children are taught effectively throughout this current period of closure and as a result we are publishing the virtual learning plan indicated below.

The timing of the (virtual) school day is as follows:

PERIOD 1 PERIOD 2 PERIOD 3 PERIOD 4 PERIOD 5 PERIOD 6
08.15 – 08.55 09.10 – 09.50 09.50 – 10.30 10.30 – 11.10 11.30 – 12.10 12.20 – 13.00

Parents will be required to manage the logistics of supervising children either while working from home or while working elsewhere. All members of the DBS Al Wakra community will do their utmost to provide the best service they can at this time. However, it will be important for us all to be flexible and patient when working online and when deadlines are inevitably missed.

All teachers and students must check their email at 7:45 am each day from Sunday to Thursday for a daily briefing notice. Parents can contact the school as usual and their enquiry will be directed accordingly. As a school, we will remain in regular contact with staff, parents and students with at least one daily update on the status of the closure and online learning. Student participation during each day will be tracked as a means of registering learning.
