Doha British Schools are one of the world’s leading British International Schools in Qatar, with a reputation for outstanding academic excellence since 1997.

For over 27 years, DBS has been true to its core purpose to ensure that every young person should gain as much as possible from their education, based on the belief that all learners can, need and want to achieve. DBS has worked tirelessly to create learning environments that support academic excellence, sport, art and character development and are deservedly recognised by the British Schools Overseas as “Excellent” with ‘outstanding features’. DBS is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) and British Schools Overseas (BSO).

27 years later, DBS has now grown into a cluster of three outstanding campuses offering the National Curriculum of England and IB programmes. Doha British School’s first campus in Ain Khaled opened in 1997, followed by DBS Al Wakra in 2014 which proudly moved to its new site with state of the art facilities in September 2024, and DBS Rawdat Al Hamama in 2022.

Students at DBS follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage and the English National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. At Key Stage 4, they engage in a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses. Moving to Post-16 in Key Stage 5. Additionally the DBS Ain Khaled campus stands as the only school in Qatar offering four distinct pathways, including AS/A-levels, BTEC, and the IB Diploma programme.

DBS continuously celebrates outstanding performance in international examinations, achieving 100% pass rates for both A-Level and IB Diploma cohorts. Graduates from DBS have gained admission to esteemed worldwide universities, such as Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, and the University of Alberta to name a few. A number of graduates also annually enrol into the City University College Qatar in partnership with Ulster University. CUC Ulster Qatar provides a distinct pathway from DBS for higher education studies.

The IGCSE results in Arabic 1st language, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Double Science, DT, Economics, Fine Art, French, Mathematics, Music, Physics, PE, Spanish, and Textile Design all consistently exceeded both Qatar and worldwide averages. Additionally, in 2023 over 30 DBS students received "Outstanding Learner Awards" from Pearson International, achieving the "Highest Achievement" in Spanish for the Middle East and the "Highest Achievement" in the world for Arabic at AS-level.

Since its establishment in 1997 has consistently prioritised the subjects of Arabic language and Islamic Studies, underscoring the significance of promoting Islamic values and Arabic customs.

All Doha British Schools offer a traditional British Pastoral provision and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities.
